Sam Raderman: Guitar

wedding musicOver the past few years, guitarist Sam Raderman has been making a name for himself on the New York jazz scene. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1985, Sam moved to the suburbs of New York City as a young child with his family, including drummer and musical ally Alex Raderman. Picking up the guitar as a teenager, Sam soon developed an interest in Blues and Rock greats such as Jimi Hendrix and Albert King. After hearing George Benson’s “Beyond The Blue Horizon” album, Sam became interested in learning about Jazz and decided to study guitar performance at Berklee College of Music and then earn a master’s degree in Jazz studies from NYU.

Sam is passionate about channeling the rich traditions of Jazz through his playing with an emphasis on swing and blues. He is a frequent performer at New York’s best jazz clubs including a two year residency at Smoke Jazz and Supper Club. He currently leads a weekly gig at Smalls Jazz Club in the west village and can often be seen playing at many other venues around town.
