A Boutique Jazz Experience
March 22nd, 2018 Posted in UncategorizedPlanning a wedding is, to put it annoyingly simplistic terms, absurdly time consuming and tedious. Us Stompers know that first hand, as most of us have taken the plunge ourselves!
When searching for the right jazz band for your event, it’s easy to go the route of the bigger vendor websites like GigMasters or The Knot. There’s so much to plan, and hey why not? Loads of people use those sites and it seems like a sure bet.
We’re not knocking those websites, but there’s something missing from the experience of booking through them that we feel is very important.
When you book the Lowdown Stompers, you’re dealing directly with us – no outside agents or customer reps who have never heard the band. Our goal is to make the music portion of your event as stress-free as possible, which starts from the moment you book us. We’re available for site-visits, phone calls – whatever you need from us to ensure that your event is the one everyones talking about on Monday morning.
We understand that we’re not just selling you live music – we’re selling ourselves and a once in a lifetime experience that you’ll be able to look back on for years to come. Trust us to set the vibe for your big night – you won’t be disappointed.
Don’t take it from us though . . . check out what our former clients have to say about us.
Whether its a 3 piece cocktail ensemble, or the full on 5-piece Stomper outfit, we make it our mission to create great memories. Contact us today to see how we can make your event one to remember!

Happy Holidays from The Stompers!
December 19th, 2017 Posted in UncategorizedMost of the band convened in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past week for our annual Holiday Party, where we reminisced over a great year! We drank wine, ate some of Mike’s homemade Chili and recorded some Christmas tunes for ol’ times sake. Enjoy our little jam session on the holiday classic, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland”.
We all hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

The exquisite Ms. Ella Fitzgerald on a holiday classic “What Are You Doing New Years Eve?”.
From our hearts to yours . . . The Lowdown Stompers hope you’re having a great holiday season.

January 20th, 2017 Posted in UncategorizedWe had SUCH a good time last summer in Red Hook playing for our friends Supria and Mike at The Liberty Warehouse last summer. They asked us to lead them down the aisle in a second line parade, and we happily obliged!!
Many thanks to New York Magazine for the shoutout in their Winter 2017 issue of New York Weddings, and to A Guy and Gal Photography for beautifully documenting an amazing evening!
